Do Re Meme!

This is probably the easiest meme I've been tagged for.  Julia at SometimesLucid sent it my way.  I like this one!

 

Here it be.

 

Think of the number between four and six.  Send this easy- schmeezy meme to that many blog ladies or blog dudes.   This is an equal opportunity meme.

 

Then you grab the nearest book to where you are sitting. (By the computer where you are reading this wonderful, enlightening, humorous, funny, fantastic, and let's not forget humble blog!  It does not matter if it is not an intellectual book. (What is that?) Just grab it.  Now turn to page 56 of the book and look for the fifth sentence on that page.

 

Write that sentence and the two or three following it.

 

That's it! Can you believe it?  No ruse or trick up my bloggy sleeve here!

 

Well, I did decide to throw my own twist on it.  This should still be easy because the book I'm rereading EVERY woman in the continental U.S. has read.  Sorry men, but I'm sure your mother, sister, wife, or even brother has read it!  I'm quite sure.

 

I'm going to write in the sentences and I want to see who can guess which book I'm reading.

 

Prize?  Must there always be a prize?  Can we not do something for the sake of accomplishment alone? Oh, ye materialistic bloggers! How ye disappoint me!

 

Let's see what can I give you. Hmm. I recently gave away all the Dwight K. Schrute bucks I had.  Would a coupon for five cents off your next spool of thread be good?  No?   How about my blog promise that I will read your blog and comment on every post for a month. Is that good? Come on now, we are talking some serious carpal tunnel here.

 

Still not good enough.  You are a tough crowd to please. How about if I give you this award?

 

This award is the most coveted

blog award ever.  It holds more prestige and honor than even an Academy Award. 

 

A "mooned" blog means it will make any who read it want to jump over the moon with excitement and joy that they read your blog.

 

That is a pretty sweet award, if you ask me.  Not asking? Well I'm still telling.

 

Finally? Whew.  I don't what else I could come up with.  It's hard economic times people, HARD TIMES!

 

Now back to the meme.  Here is my entry for you to guess which book and author.

 

I didn't even have time to close my eyes.

Just before I heard the shattering crunch of the van folding around the truck bed, something hit me, hard, but not from the direction I was expecting.  My head cracked against the icy blacktop, and I felt something solid and cold pinning me to the ground.

There it is!  I'll get Bessie the Cow all warmed up for you to get her best "moon" ready.
